Hispanic Heritage month goes from September 15 to October
15 of every year. Our Cultural Music program showcases music,
and information from different Latin-American and Hispanic countries
which include:
Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Cuba,
Dominican Republic and Spain among others. The audience participates with
sing-alongs and a volunteer wears a Mexican costume.
A volunteer is excited to pick up the maracas to play
La Cucaracha with Jesse on the guitar.
Cinco De Mayo translated means: 5th of May which is one of Mexico's most important historic dates. Our program shares info concerning this amazing Mexican historical celebration together with the flag, music, culture,
maracas, sombrero, and poncho.
We'll also talk about various food such as tacos, burritos, enchiladas, tortillas, nachos, and even chocolate treats. The audience participate with sing-alongs and a volunteer wears the sombrero, poncho and plays maracas.
Jesse and a volunteer sing a Mexican traditional, the audience sing-along and at the end we hear: VIVA MEXICO!
